Delete your account & data

You can permanently delete your Castwise account and all the data associated with it at any time. Choose whichever is easier:

Option 1 — In the app (fastest)

Open Castwise and go to Account → “Delete account”. Your account and all associated data are removed immediately and permanently. This cannot be undone.

Option 2 — By email (no app needed)

If you can’t open the app, email us from the address you signed up with and we’ll action it for you:

Or send a message to [email protected] with the subject “Delete my Castwise account”, from your account email address so we can verify it’s you.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes all personal data we hold about you, including:

Your account and sign-in details (email / sign-in identifier, profile and preferences).
Your logbook — sessions, catches, notes and any photos you added.
Your saved and custom marks.
Your AI coach history.
Your recommendations, Fish ID evaluation/correction metadata, first-party product events and other data tied to your account.

Timing & retention

App deletions take effect immediately. Email requests are actioned within 30 days (usually much sooner); we’ll confirm when it’s done.
Deleted data is removed from our live systems straight away and purged from encrypted backups within 30 days.
We don’t retain an active account copy afterwards. Subscription and transaction records controlled by Google Play, Apple or RevenueCat follow those providers’ legal and retention obligations; manage or cancel the subscription through the relevant store account.
